Songs Without Chords is a collection of faith-based songs, written over many years and now set free into the wide world ether of the Interwebs.

My name’s Carol Dorman and I’ve been writing songs for as long as I can remember, most of them faith-based. While some were heard in church services and other Christian events over the years, many were not. Instead, they lived just in my head or places where I could sing them without bothering too many folks.

You see, although I compose the melody as well as the lyrics, I’m not a musician. I don’t play an instrument , instead I sing the songs as I’m writing them. Now, I’m no great singer but if you’re patient, with some inadvertent key changes and other such ‘quirks’, hopefully you’ll find my voice adequate to illustrate how each song goes. I’ve always felt I could really only offer these songs as raw materials, not complete ready-to-perform pieces, which is kind of a shame since they were probably given to my head for a reason … .

So, having decided they’ve been hidden long enough, here they are, set free to be heard and even used by anyone who may wish to do so.

No strings attached.

That means if a song resonates with you and you would like to use it, you are free to do so with my blessing. I hope that it speaks to others as it speaks to you and opens your heart to the wonders of our Creator.

Printable versions of the lyrics can be found here.

I’ll be adding more songs as I record them. If you’d like to be informed when new songs are added, feel free to subscribe to my mailing list and I’ll keep you updated.

Cheers,

Carol
